Dancing Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

It's so great outside here today!! Actually feels like spring!! : ) I planted some banana trees and jumped on the trampoline with my nieces!! I hope it feels good where you are!!
Ok here's a card I completed 1/27/13. So my Great Aunt was turning 87 years old and I was going to her birthday party so, I threw together a card. She loves to dance, so I thought I would make a card with dancing shoes or ballet shoes. I used the Twinkle Toes cartridge and the gypsy wanderings cartridge. I inked the edges in pink and added a little swarvoski crystal to the i. My Aunt thought she was going to a dance and her daughter brought her to the party and she was so surprised she started crying. She wanted to know though if there was still a dance. LOL she really loves to dance. I hope you like the card!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog! :

Texas Longhorn Birthday Card!!

1/10/13

Hey Everyone,

I hope your Monday is going great so far!! I had a pretty good weekend!! Friday night I stayed up for the Cricut Midnight madness sale.  It was a little frustrating because the site was a wee bit slow, but I stuck thru. I ended up getting 3 cartridges that night: Nursery Rhymes, Life's a Party, and Lacy Labels. The next day I ended up ordering the Dreams come True Cartridge because my sister is redoing her bathroom to be an Ocean/Little Mermaid theme and we can use the cartridge for it. Then I went to Joann's just to grab a sheet of paper and seen in there clearance some cricut cartridges and got a few of those. I got Terese Collins Sophistcated and Disney Classics. Then yesterday my sister and I went shopping around. We had fun and came home and sponge painted her bathroom.

So the beginning of January, I went to Hobby Lobby and found a making Memories Slice machine and the memory cards for it, for a real good deal. It was $36.00 for the main machine and $6.36  or so for the memory cards. One of the memory cards was Happy Trails. It had a Texas Longhorn on it and I thought it would be perfect for my brother's birthday that was coming up. So today I'm taking you back to a Texas Longhorn card I completed 1/10/13.
I cut the longhorn out in white and then cut a bigger one out to create a shadow in black. Then I cut out the happy birthday the same way. I inked the edges in orange. The card itself I did black with orange on top and I inked the orange with black. I hope you like the card!! I'm so excited about some projects that I am currently working on, I can't wait to finish them to see how they turn out. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Mermaid Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

How's going today? I hope everyone is doing great!! Ok so last night I told you guys that I completed my 2012 projects, well I missed one. This mermaid card was completed 11/5/12. Ok so my niece wanted a mermaid theme birthday party last year, so I decided to make her a mermaid card.
I hand cut out and made the mermaid and glittered and sparkled her up. My nieces favorite color is purple so I made a lot of the stuff purple. I loved how the card was shell shaped. I found that cool paper behind the mermaid at Joann's and I thought it looked kinda oceanish so, I worked the color scheme around it. I added some seaweed and shells to the bottom too. I hope you like the card!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog. : )

Wedding Congratulations Card!!

Hey Everyone,

Hopefully you all are doing great!! : ) So today I am showing you a wedding card I completed
11/16/12. This was my first wedding card I have ever made. My sister had a friend at her work that was getting married so, she wanted me to make her a card. The wedding was country themed, like cowboy boots and flannel shirts.
I thought that I would cut two sets of boots out. One being the man's which I made blue and one being the woman's which I made pink. I then cut out a pink design to put them on and then I used the cuttlebug swiss dot folder and inked it with a blue. Then cut out pink and brown paisley designs and added blue prima flowers popping out of the boots. Then I cut out Congratulations in blue with a brown shadow. I also added a blue swarvoski crystal to the top of the i. I used the Birthday Cakes Cricut cartridge and one of the Martha Stewart Cartridges for the Congratulations. I will see if I can find the exact one and update the post. I also used the  Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch at the bottom.  I inked the edges of the card, the boots and the paisley in brown. Then I topped with a blue ribbon. I hope you enjoyed the wedding card. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Batman and Robin Tutus!!

t

Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday out there!! : ) So today's project I am showing you is a Batman and Robin tutu I completed 10/28/12. So I started this project last August and didn't finish it till a couple days before Halloween. The easy part was making the tutu's, the hard part was making and adhearing the logo to them. This was my first time making any tutu, but it  won't be my last. : )
So, I asked my Niece what she wanted to be for Halloween and she said she wanted to be a superhero princess. I got on Pinterest and typed that in and some superhero costumes popped up. I decided to go with Batman and Robin because they were sidekicks.
For Robin, I got a red waffle crocheted tutu top and then got green tulle for the skirt part. Then I took some yellow ribbon and tied it around the middle. I also took smaller yellow ribbon and weaved it in and out at the top. For the Robin logo, I cut out a Circle on the cricut and glittered the circle black. Then I cut out an R and glittered it yellow. I tied some green tulle at the top to make the arm sleeves.
For Batman, I got a black waffle crocheted tutu top and I used black and yellow tulle for the skirt. Then I tied yellow ribbon around the middle. I also made a black bat and glittered it and used a hair clip to attach the bat to the yellow ribbon in the middle. Then for the Batman logo I cut yellow fabric in an oval shape and sewed it to the tutu top. (The Very Hard Part because of the stretchy waffle top) Then I cut a black bat and glittered it and glued it to the yellow fabric. For the sleeves I used black tulle at the top. My niece wanted a tiara so I cut out a black crown on the cricut and glittered it black. Then hand cut out a bat and glittered it yellow. I then put some black crystal embellishments on it as well.
My nieces loved them and loved twirling around in them. This year my niece wants me to make her a tangled tutu for Halloween. She also wants to have a tangled Birthday Party!! So look for more tutu's in the future lol. I hope you enjoyed my Halloween tutu's. I have two projects left from last year to show you guys. One is by me and the other my sister made!! Stay tuned!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Buzz Lightyear Birthday Card!!

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are having a pleasant day out there!! : ) Today I want to show you a card I made for my mom's friend. I completed this card 10/10/12. Her friend likes Buzz Lightyear and I had the Toy  Story Cricut cartridge, so I made a Buzz Lightyear card!!
It took a couple hours to make Buzz because I couldn't seem to figure out the colors of what the pieces were supposed to be. The background of the card is just white cardstock that I inked with Blue. Then I used a star paper for the middle and inked the edges. For the front part, I just used a blue cardstock that I ran thru the cuttlebug with a star folder and chalked it white. For the sentiment, I cut out Happy Buzzday!! In the center, I used the Martha Stewart doily lace punch and then tied ribbons. I hope you like the Buzz Card. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!

Hello Kitty Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are having a great day!! : ) This card was completed 10/7/12. This is a Hello Kitty Birthday card for my brother's fiancee's daughter. She was having a Hello Kitty birthday party that day. I had to hurry and throw a card together before I left for Church that morning. I don't have the Hello Kitty Cartridge, so I had to hand make the little cat. I didn't have time to complete a few touches before I left the house. I was going to glitter the little bow. I loved how the scallopped circle looked though. I glittered the Happy Birthday with pink glitter and added a pink crystal over the i. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!

Happy 1st Birthday Pumpkin!!

Hey Everyone,
I hope you all are having a spectacular Sunday!! I completed this card 10/6/12.  So for my niece Brooklyn's 1st Birthday I made her this birthday card. I was so crazy busy that week that I didn't get the oppourtunity to start her card until the night before, but I got tired and had to quit after a little while. I had to rush and finish it before her birthday party. We were having her birthday at a Pumpkin Patch, so I decided to go with a Pumpkin theme. I made a sketch the other day of exactly what I wanted to create and was quite excited to create it. I always get so excited to see what the finished piece looks like because I never quite know what it will look like until I'm done. I absolutely loved the finished card.
I struggled with the background colors of the card, but finally decided on purple and green. I glittered all the lettering with purple glitter. I made an all black tear kitty popping out of the pumpkin. On the pumpkin I used a swirl sizzix folder and decided to put the 1st on it. I used the Martha Stewart doily lace punch for the center. Lastly, I added a purple polka dotted ribbon to the middle with a green button.
I hope you like the card. Thanks for taking the time to view my creation.

Thanks.

Dad's Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,
I Hope everyone is doing good today!! I completed this card 10/3/12!  So in October I have back to back birthdays!! My dad's birthday was on a Wednesday, my niece Brooklyn's Birthday was three  days after that and my brother's fiancee's daughters birthday was 4 days after that. So by the end of the week, I'm partied out. And this year my brother is getting married in between on those birthdays. LOL
With that being said I've been creating lots of cards the past few days. I didn't really know what to make for my dad, so I decided I would make a nature scene and put some deer in it.
I had some mountains in the background with snow on them. Then I made the sun and tried to ink the sky to make it look like the sun was setting. Then I created a little hunters' cabin beside a little stream. I made the whole scene a snowy scene. Lastly, I put two little deer in the picture. Then I added buttons and chalked the edges of the card in green. I showed the card to my three year old niece and she said it looked like a Christmas card. LOL She said it was Santa's house. Gotta love her!! I hope you like it. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog.

Bret Micheals Birthday Card!

Hey Everyone,
I hope everyone out there is having a fantastic Thursday!! Today I'm going to share my sister's birthday card, I made for her last year. I completed this card 9/16/2012. So for about a month or so before her birthday we had been joking with each other about a Bret Micheals Bear, so I decided to make her a card with him on it.
So I made a tear bear and cut out a little cross on the cricut and blinged it out on his cowboy hat and shirt. My sister loves the color green, so I went with a green theme. At the bottom I made green flames. I blinged out the Happy Birthday in glitter and then chalked the edges with ink. So originally I made the bear without the blonde hair, but I asked my dad what I should do he said to put the blonde hair on the bear. So the first pic is without and the second is with. Personally, I'm not feeling the hair. LOL I hope you enjoyed my card today. I have about 7 projects to show you before I get to the stuff I've made in 2013.  Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! Which bear did you prefer the hair or no hair??

Happy Anniversary Card!

Hey Everyone,

How's it going today?? All is good here!! So today's card is one that I completed 9/5/2012. So last year, I went to several different fairs. I must say I did have lots of fun! I went to a Fair a few towns over to watch my cousin perform. He's trying to make it into the country music industry and I had yet to see him perform because I watch my nieces. A couple of days after the fair, I got to seem him play again down the road from me at a winery!! Then I went to my local State Fair 4 times lol. The first time, I got to go to a Bret Michaels Concert for free. It was totally awesome!! : ) The only concerts I had ever been to was when I was little and that was two Aerosmith Concerts. (Mom is a huge Aerosmith fan) Anyway, the Bret Michaels Concert was really good and he was a awesome performer. The only thing that would have made the concert better, would have been if my sister was there. She wanted to go so bad, but wasn't able to go because she didn't have a babysitter. Bret however said he was coming back, so my sister and I have plans to attend this year together and get some VIP passes.
Then the next time I went to the Fair I went with my mom and cousins we walked the Midway a few times and we were gone by 9:30, but we visited with each other till 2:30 in the morning. LOL I never stay out that late, it was different but I had fun! Then I went with my Sister and Brother in Law. I feel bad because that was their only oppourtunity to go. After being there maybe an hour it started pouring down rain, so we had to leave. My niece though got to ride 3 rides before the rain, so she had some fun. Then I went to the Fair with my dad and it was partially raining. Still had fun though.

Anyway at the first Fair I went to my cousin Justin asked me if I would make him a card for his Anniversary. I've never really did a card by request it's normally something I make for someone else. So I said yeah and ask him what he was wanting and the colors and that stuff. He described that she liked flowers, peace signs, neon colors, and he wanted to incorporate both their favorite colors. (Light green and hot orange) I guess you could say I had Artists block or something because at first I was stuck and didn't know what to do. The colors threw me off and his description of what he wanted. Eventually, though I had an idea. I figured I'd make a beetlebug car and put orange flowers on it. The tires I put little peace sign with flowers in it. In the end it turned out ok or so he said.

Spiderman Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,
I hope you all are doing great today!! I'm doing pretty good. Yesterday, I had an amazing day!! All day yesterday, I got to spend in the presence of the the Lord. I had the day off so, I spent the morning reading scripture and studying the bible. In the afternoon, I spent doing a mixture of things, like reading the word and mediating on verses. Then last night, I went to a  Bible study with my sister and her sister in law. We have been doing the Beth Moore Inheritance Bible study. I have so much fun getting together with them and learning about God. Last night, my sister's sister in law downloaded some more bible studies on my phone. So when I got home last night, my sister called me to come watch my nieces while she ran an errand.  I watched another Beth Moore Bible study on my phone. I had such a pleasure spending all day with God. Sometimes, I don't get to spend much time in his presence so, it was so refreshing and I needed it so very much. He is my best friend and when I don't get to spend time with him I see a difference in my day and how it goes. He's my superhero!! : )

So today I'm going to share a Spiderman Birthday card I created last year for my nephew. I completed it 7/13/12. I hand cut out and pieced together the Spiderman. To give him that "Spiderman texture" I glued some black Tulle over him. I really liked how it turned out and made him look like the real deal. Then I had the Cricut 31st Cartridge and used it to cut out the web. I thought it would look cool if Spiderman was hanging from the web, so I put a hole in my paper and put the string through it and tied a knot and then did the same with the other end. Then I popped up Spiderman. The rest of the card I just chalked with black to give it a dirty kind of look. I hope you enjoyed the Spiderman card!! Look forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog.  God Bless Everyone!!

Dreams!!

“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets." Amos 3:7

I just love the song Even if it Breaks your Heart by the Eli Young band. My Favorite part of the whole song is when they say
" Keep on Dreaming even if it breaks your heart
Some dreams stay with you Forever
Drag you round and bring you back to where you were
Some Dreams keep on getting better
Gotta keep believing if you want to know for sure"

I've always had a close relationship with God since I was little, but over the past few years my relationship has gotten even closer. I've gotten to know him and realize that he is for me and not against me. About four years ago, I had an awesome dream. One that in a million years I couldn't have come up with it or even thought it could happen. I can't seem to get this dream out of my heart or my head. So for the past couple of years I struggled, was it just a dream, did I come up with it, is it from God. Finally a couple of years ago, I realized that the dream was not a dream, but a vision from God of something to come. After I got that I was so excited about it.
Now that I knew the vision was from God and that it would happen, things started happening to make me try to doubt or to give up. Last year at the end of January to the beginning of Feburary the attacks were pretty strong. At one point I thought about giving up and didn't know if I could go on anymore, but I had fought almost three years for this dream. I wasn't about to give up on it just because it had gotten harder for me to bear. It seems that I hear from God most when I sleep at night in my dreams. Last August I had, had a dream where a girl was afraid and she was about to give up and I was in the dream talking to this girl telling her that if she gave up that the enemy would win. I told her she needed to get up and dust herself off and smile and have fun and not let the enemy see he won. That she needed to just do it and do it even if she was afraid and to not care what others think about her. I feel that this was God speaking to me. That dream really helped me because I started getting afraid and I felt led to take some steps and do somethings that I'm not necessarily comfortable doing, but I knew that God was wanting me to do them. Sometimes you have to do things that you've never did before, in order to get the things that you have always dreamed about. So I jumped out of my comfort zone and I jumped into the faith zone. I got even closer to God because I needed to know I was doing his will and not my own. I've been pushing and pushing towards the goal. Sometimes you want it so bad and you feel a bit impatient and then other times you think about it happening and it freaks you out because you've never thought it was possible, but with God all things are possible.  Through it all though I've had one steady rock that just helps me to be patient and helps to calm my fears. That would my bestest Friend in the whole wide world God!! So the past few months there are times that it seems like it's about to happen and then something else happens to make my steps falter. At first I admit I was frustrated and it would tear me up, but the more I lean on God and trust him and his timing the less these things are affecting me. So for the past month or so I have felt really strongly that it's about to happen. Things are lining up and everything is looking good. So the other day another one of those things that are suppose to make me waver happened and it didn't even faze me. I'm so full of Gods peace and know without a shadow of a doubt that it's going to happen and that nothing is going to stop it from happening. The enemy fights hardest before the victory and I believe that victory is right around the corner. I have never fought so hard in my life for anything as much as I have this. It has been hard, but in it all I have learned about my best Friend God and got to know him so much!! : ) I have also learned how determined and strong I am!! Not only have I been dealing with just that dream, but struggling with many different things at once. When I felt as if I had victory in one area then something else would happen in another area. All those other things though, I've been having victories in lately!! I trust God and know that he has a good plan for me and that it will happen with his timing and it will be perfect! The whole point of this post though is to let you know that if you have a dream, whether it be a dream you dream of at night or a dream of something you want to pursue. (Like going to Hawaii lol I'm determined I will be going there someday!!! : )) Don't ever and I mean ever give up that dream. God puts dreams in your heart, so that you pursue them because he has given you the ability to achieve that dream. Speak positive words about that dream because your words have life and death. Never say it's not going to happen because then it won't. Always believe there is a way for it to happen. Trust that if God brought you to it, he will bring you through it. It might take a while for it to happen, but just keep pursing them and don't stop until you get your dream. It might get hard and tough, but dig your heels in and say I'm not giving up until it happens. And once you get your dream, dream another dream and purse it!!
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!!

P.S. Keep on Dreaming even if it breaks your Heart!! ; )

Thank You Card!

Hey Everyone,

The next project I have to show you, is a project I did for my mom the last year. I completed it 6/4/2012. She has a friend that bought some tombstones from a memorial tombstone maker and he delivered them before Memorial Day. Her friend was really thankful that he did that, so she asked me if I had a little thank you card. I didn't have anything, so I hurried and put something together. I was lost at what to put on the cover and kept coming back to a tombstone. I just hope the guy wasn't creeped out, but being his profession is making tombstones for a livi ng he may like it. I sure hope he wasn't freaked out by it. Thanks for taking the time to view my card. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog.

Stevie Ray Vaughan Mother's Day Card!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are doing great today! I'm doing good. Ok today's card that I'm showing you is a card I made for my mom for Mother's Day last year. I completed this 5/13/2012. Originally, I wanted to make it for her, for her birthday, but I didn't think I had enough time to do it for her birthday. So I ended up making it for Mother's Day instead. And the funny thing is it didn't take that long to do at all. Anyway, my mom loves Stevie Ray Vaughan, she's constantly listening to his music. So as I noticed a couple of months back I tend to try to make cards that are based on things that, that particular person loves. So I set out to try to make Stevie Ray Vaughan. I hand cut out and made Stevie Ray Vaughan gave him a little necklace and a signature hat that he wore. Then I used the Indie Art Cartridge for the guitar and made the little music notes on his guitar strap.  (I put the music notes on without looking and put them on backwards lol) I chalked the background and cut out music notes.
My mom was speechless and absolutely loved it. I guess you can say I enjoy seeing my loved ones reactions when I give them a card. It's one of the ways I enjoy saying I love them by creating something that would mean a lot to them. Thanks for taking the time to view my creation.

Breast Cancer Scrapbook page!!

Hey Everyone,

Ok my next project is a project that I did last May 4, 2012.  My sister called me up on a Monday Night and asked me if I could do a favor for her and my brother in law. There was a girl that use to work at O'Charley's with my brother in law and she ended up getting Breast cancer. She has stage 4 and she can't afford her medical bills, so the O'Charley's that he works at put together a Yardsale/Silent Auction/Bakesale for her. So my sister wanted me to make a scrapbook layout, but I only had till that Thursday at noon to get it done. She asked if I thought I could get it done and I said yah. So I had to rush and put together a layout when I wasn't watching my nieces. So I literally got done on Thursday at like 12:15. It was not what I would have wanted it to look like because I wasn't feeling the shades of pink that I found at Hobby Lobby. I guess you can say I'm a detail oriented person because it didn't have enough omphh for me. So they took it over and put it in the Silent Auction.
The layout says Fight like a girl and features one of my handmade tear bears. I made her a boxer bear with boxing gloves like she is fighting Breast Cancer.
I have another project that I made last May for Mother's Day and I'll post that tomorrow.  Thanks for taking the time to view my blog.

Have a Rockin Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are doing good. The next project I made was for my Mom's Birthday last April 2nd .  I completed this 4/1/12.
She loves guitars, so I decided to make a card with a guitar on it. I cut the guitar with the Indie Art Cartridge and then blinged it out with red glitter. I put some thread thru to make it look like an actual guitar. Then I put in little silver brads to make it look like it had the little knobs and stuff. I glittered up the Have a Rockin Birthday. I put the R crooked because I thought it would looked cool. For the background I used the cuttlebug and used the diamond plate folder and chalked it with red.
I hope you enjoyed the card. Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I have more projects to show you, so come back tomorrow.

Texas Longhorn Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are having a good Monday so far! Mine is going pretty good. So as you know I've been showing projects from the past, now I'm up to January 10, 2012.  My brother turned 30 last January, so I made him a card. My brother loves and when I say love lol He loves the Texas Longhorns. So when I was trying to think of a card to make him, I thought it would be perfect to make him a Texas Longhorn card.

I made the card in the shape of a football then I ran it through the cuttlebug. I used the swiss dot folder to give it some dimension. Then I hand cut out the little white parts. I also had to hand cut out the Longhorn because I couldn't find a cartridge that I had with a longhorn. He thought the card was pretty cool. I hope you enjoyed the card. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Night before Christmas Tear Bear Paper Piecing!!

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all are having a great Sunday out there!!  I'm doing good. It was so beautiful here today. I went to a park with my brother and sister and nieces and nephews. Had lots of fun and just enjoyed being outside.
This next piece was completed 12/28/2011. I made this tear bear originally for a night before christmas layout, but never got the chance to start the layout. I will have to add it to a layout and finish it. : )
I used mulberry paper to make the bears and hand cut out fabric to make the pajamas. I added little reindeer slippers to her feet. I also gave her a little teddy bear so, it looked like she was on her way to bed. I hope you enjoyed the teddy bear piecing. Thanks for viewing my blog. Please add me and start following my posts.

Thanks,

All because Two people fell in Love!!

Hey Bloggers,
How's everyone doing this Saturday? I hope you are all having a blessed day! Had another busy day shopping and yard selling again. LOL I'm not much of a shopper. I like to get in and get out as quickly as possible. I do like the bargains at yard sales though.
So the next project that I have to show you is a Christmas project. My sister and I completed this project 12/22/11.  So as you know from previous posts my sister had her baby in October 2011, so in December she came to me for help with a project. She told me that she wanted to do something in black and white with the saying All Because Two People fell in Love. It was a combination project. LOL I did the cutting on the cricut and we both did the glittering of the letters. We decided to do Love in Red. There are four pictures because there are 4 different variations. I hope you enjoyed the project. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog.

Fall Scrapbook Page!!

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all are having a good Friday!! I've been so busy today!! I went shopping, yard selling and  had lunch with my mom. I got some good stuff and had fun doing it, but by the end of the day I was ready to come home.
Here's a layout I completed 11/3/2011. This is a Fall Scrapbook layout that I made. This was my very first scrapbook layout that I made using the cricut.  It features two handmade little girls. One is raking leaves, while the other is throwing leaves. It also has a cute little tear puppy that jumped inside a barrel and knocked out some leaves.
Thanks for taking time to view my layout!

Cinderella Birthday Card!

Hey Everyone,

The next project is a birthday card I made for my niece Hailey. I completed this card 11/5/2011.  She turned three that November and for Halloween she was Cinderella, so I thought I would make her a Cinderella card. Whenever I make something and she sees it, she always asks is that for me. So I was excited to actually make something for her. When I gave it to her she said "AHHH is that for me." I said yah and she hugged the card. LOL She is just too cute.

I have the Cinderella Cricut Cartridge, but I wanted to hand make the Cinderella. I handmade the little girl and gave her some swarvoski crystal earrings. The cartridge I used was Martha Stewart Elegant Cakes. I hope you enjoyed the card. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog.

May you have a Blessed Day!!

St. Louis Cardinals Birthday Card!

Hey Everyone,

How are you all doing today? I'm doing great! So the next card, I'm about to show you is the card I made for my Brother in Law for his birthday. I completed it 10/23/2011. On October 23rd I woke up and realized that tomorrow is my brother in law's birthday and I hadn't made him a card yet. I was trying to think of something to make him and I asked my dad at church and he said Dusty likes the St. Louis Cardinals. I suddenly got an idea of exactly what I would do. I went to JoAnn's in search of red feathers lol because Hobby Lobby was closed. So I went home and cut out a white circle on the cricut chalked it and made markings on it with my permanant marker. Then I hand cut out a bat and the Cardinal. Then I glued red feathers to the Cardinal to make it look real. The card took me about an hour to hour and half to do.

When I was done I wrote on the back "Sorry Dusty I didn't get you anything for your birthday, but how does the Cardinals winning the World Series sound?" So the World Series was playing at the time and I got worried a couple of nights later thinking oh no what if they don't win and then in the end they won.Yay!! My brother in Law loved the card and thought I spent a ton of time making it.

Thanks For taking the time to view my blog and card.

Congratulations Baby Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope Everyone is doing good out there!! I'm doing good here!! The sun is shining brightly today and it looks beautiful outside. : ) So today I'm showing you a congrats card I made for my sister and brother in law. They had my niece on October 6th, so I wanted to make them a cute congrats card.
I completed this 10/5/2011.

My sister and brother in law for some reason love brown, so I made the card in that shade. I made a rattle and used pop dots to pop it up. Then I used a clear piece from my cricut cartridge packaging and made a circle and glued that to my paper and inside I put seed beads, so that the rattle actually rattles. The other picture is what is on the inside of the card. I will try to get which cartridges I used for the card and then update this post. : )

Thanks for taking the time to view my blog look for more tomorrow.

Dad's Happy Birthday Card!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are having a pleasant April Fool's Day!! I'm just hoping the weather starts warming up here because it's been cold. I want to see some trees with leaves on them. Today I'm sharing another project from the past. I complete this card 10/3/2011. I made this for my dad's 50th birthday. He loves bucks and going hunting and around his birthday bow hunting season, so I decided to make a manly deer birthday card.

The recipe: Wildlife Cricut lite cartridge. I hand chalked the deer to look more life like using Cat's eye ink pads. Then I used the swiss dot cuttlebug folder on the brown part. The Happy Birthday was cut using Gypsy Wanderings Cartridge. Then on the inside part I just used the part that cut out the deer and just cut a square around it and chalked it.

I hope you enjoyed the card!!  I have about a months worth of old projects left before I get to the new stuff. I can't wait to put the new stuff on because I just love it. I'll probably get there about the end of April or the beginning of May. So stay tuned in!! : ) Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!
