Fishing Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing good today!! So on Sunday was my nephew's 9th birthday. He wanted a fishing theme birthday, so I decided to go with that theme for the card. So I recently got the Teddy Bear Parade cricut cartridge and it had a cute little fisherman bear. I loved it and thought how perfect it would be to create a fisherman bear. So I wasn't feeling the eyes that they do on the cartridge. It's too plain for my tastes so I created my own eyes. I did the card colors in green, brown and a light  khaki color. I inked it up in shades of brown as well. The bottom edge I used a Martha Stewart Scallop dot punch that I just bought. I tied a piece of string around the top of the pole to give it that realistic look. I hope you enjoy the card!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!

Dragonfly Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a great day today. I didn't get the oppourtunity to get this posted yesterday but as promised I'm showing you it today. So my soon to be sister in law's birthday was June 26th but we weren't able to celebrate it till Forth of July. I smoked some ribs, chicken and corn on the cob and I made a mud pie cheesecake. I was nervous on how it would turn out because it was an experiment. Haha. I've never made it before. One of my desserts I always make for the holidays is a mud pie and EVERYONE tears it up. Well my sister in law loves cheesecake so I thought why not combine the two and see what happens. It turned out really good! I liked it.
So my sister in law likes Dragonflys so I decided to make her a card with a dragonfly on it. I started out with a standard A2 card and cut a dark pink out in that size. I cut the orange out slightly smaller and then used my Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch along the top and bottom. I tied a coordinating ribbon in the center.  Then cut out another lighter pink square and swiss dotted and inked it. I cut the Happy Birthday using the Birthday Cakes Cricut Cartridge and added a little swarvoski crystal bling to the i. Then I cut the cute little dragonfly using the Create a Critter Cartridge. I popped it up with some pop dots. I hope you enjoyed the card!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!

Father's Day Card!!

Hey Everybody,

How is it going in your lives today?? I hope you are all having a fantastic day, if not I hope that it gets better for you! Well I want to appologize for being gone so long and not posting anything. : ( I've missed you guys!! I'll give you an update on what's been going on in my life. In a previous post I put that my parents had both went to the hospital at the end of May for two separate things. Took about a week for both of them to recover and get back to their normal selves. Then I got busy with some summer things and then before you knew it, it was Father's Day.

So I hadn't had the oppourtunity to work on anything till I made my Dad this Father's Day Card. I really missed getting crafty. I've been learning over the past few weeks just how much I love getting crafty and creative using my imagination.

So for the card I wanted to use shades of brown and green because my Dad's a hunter and loves Deer. I used a standard A2 card and then cut out some squares for the background. For the green part I embossed it with an argyle folder and just chalked the edges in brown. Then I cut a square and turned it and chalked the edges brown. I put a brown strip in the center and chalked it brown too. I pop dotted the diamond with the deer.  I used the Disney Classics cartridge and cut out a silhoutte of Bambi's Dad. Then to finish it off I added some brown buttons to the edges.

Well I hoped you enjoyed this card!! I will post another cute card tomorrow!! : ) Thanks for taking the time to view my blog.

Scrapbook Storage Makeover!!

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been on in a while!! Both my parents were in the hospital all last week. My dad had cellulitis on his leg. : ( And my mom had a severely enlarged gallbladder that had to be taken out. She seems to be doing better now. Dad's leg is still pretty red and tomorrow he's going to get a biopsy on it. Hopefully he gets back to normal soon!! : )
So today I want to show you a yardsale find that I painted and redone!! I got the scrapbook storage at a yardsale for $3.00 a piece!! It was plain white, but I'm not big on just white furniture, so I decided to paint it. My craft desk in my room is a dark chocolate so I wanted to paint the outside a chocolate color. And then I wanted some pink because it added a little oomph to it.
First I painted the scrapbook drawers and shelves pink and decided I wanted to get another color as well so it would match my desk. After I painted it all I decided I wanted to add flowers, so it wasn't too plain looking. I hope you enjoyed my project!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!

Blackened Chicken Pita Pizza!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are doing great!! I thought I would share a recipe with you today!! It's Blackened Chicken Pita Pizza!! MMMMM!!! Ok so to start off I fired up my outdoor electric grill. I then put some Zatarain's Blackened Seasoning on the Chicken!! I love spicy flavoring!! After a while, then I took out my vegetables to grill. I had yellow, green, and red peppers as well as mushrooms, and red onions. After all that was done cooking on the grill, I brought in the vegetables to cut up. I also took out the pita pockets and put them on the grill I lightly brushed olive oil on one side and put just a little tomato sauce and some shredded mozzarella on the top half. You have to be careful and watch the bottoms because it could burn. After the cheese melted I took it off the grill and brought it in and put chicken and veggies on them!! They have a slighly crusty crunch to them !! I served it with a Salad. It's a light and healthy meal with just a little kick!! I hope you can try the recipe sometime and let me know what you think! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!
Much Love

Mother's Day Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all had a great Mother's Day yesterday!! Yesterday happened to be my Birthday, so I had a pretty busy weekend, so I didn't get a chance to upload this pic. So I wanted to tell you guys a funny story. So my sister threw me a birthday party and invited family over. Well she realized yesterday morning that she didn't get candles, so I told her I would pick some up after church. I bought a package of some white candles. Well my sister was doing dishes and asked me to set out the cake and put the candles in it. I looked at the candle package and saw it said relight candle. I thought it meant you can use them again. lol so it comes time for me to blow out the candles and everytime I blow them out they relight lol I'm like ok what is going on and finally I'm able to get them to blow out. I looked at the package afterwards and notice the word magic. My family was laughing hysterically and when they found out I bought them for myself they really laughed. It was a pretty funny moment.

Here's the Mother's Day card I made. I used the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cartridge for the background. Ok I was having some serious issues  with the cricut the night I made this. I couldn't get Happy Mother's Day to cut no matter how I tried. I tried Best Mom like 5 times and it wouldn't cut. It just kept ripping when it was cutting. I need a new mat, more glue and a sharp blade I guess. Then I used the Flower Shoppe Cartridge for the flowers. I made the card in shades of yellow and purple. I like those colors together. I hope you like the card!! Thanks for viewing my blog!!

Happy 21st Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are having a great day out there. My day is going pretty good. So my Mom's birthday was April 2nd and I made this birthday card for her. She always jokes and says she's 21, so  I decided to make her a 21st birthday card. I handmade the drink!! I put glitter in the glass to make it look like alcohol and added a cute little umbrella. I used some beach neon colors as well. I hope you enjoyed this card. This is my most recent card, however I will be making a Mother's Day one sometime before Sunday. I'm currently working on some other stuff as well. I hope to finish it sometime soon to show you guys. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Teacher Appreciation Card!!

Hello Everyone,
I hope you are having a great day today! I completed this teacher appreciation card 3/29/13. I loved how it turned out. I got both Create a Critter cartridges for Christmas and I've been playing with them the past couple of cards. I love the cute little critters. The apple and the worm are from the Create a Critter Cartridge. I glittered the apple in red glitter and glittered the cheeks in pink. I cut the worm and put a cute little flower up by it's ear. LOL Do worms have ears? Or at least I put the flower by where an ear should be. Haha I used the Martha Stewart punch along the middle and I used one of the cricut cuts with the scalloped edge along the border as well. I tied some tulle in the middle as well and topped the bow off with a little green button. The background I swiss dotted the black card stock with the cuttlebug and then inked the dots red. I hope you enjoy the card!! Tomorrow I will show my last updated project and then I'm all caught up!! Yay!! I have more projects to show you after that, I just have to complete them. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!

Spider Halloween Card!!

Hey Everyone,

Hope you're having a great day today. I completed this card 3/27/13.  I made this card for a JoAnn fabric challenge. The challenge was to make something with only 8 items from a list they gave you. It was called Create with 8. So my eight items I chose was yarn, glitter, cardstock, scrapbook embellishments, tulle, buttons, ribbon, and wiggle eyes. I had a hard time coming up with an idea of something to use the wiggle eyes on and the yarn. So I thought of a cute little spider with the wiggle eyes and dangling from the yarn. I liked the whole tulle look on the card!! The spider was created using the Create a Critter Cartridge!! Once again another scalloped edge circle card!! LOL love that cut. I hope you enjoy my Halloween Card!! Thanks for stopping by and viewing my blog! Have a blessed week!!

Owl Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are having a fabulous Sunday!! Mine is going really, really, really great so Far!! Today's Sermon at Church was so amazing!!  It was about Gluttony and how you view food. 4 years ago on this exact day, I asked God for his help with my weight!! I couldn't do it anymore the weight kept me from pursing my dreams and held me back in so many ways. I needed God's help because I had tried many times to do it by myself and I was never able to lose much or stick with it for very long. He provided me the motivation and dedication to continue on this journey. I know that I would not be were I am today if it wasn't for his grace on my life!! I am so incredibly blessed for what he has did!! I am thankful everyday that I am not what I used to be! So if you are struggling with a weight issue know that nothing is to big for God!! : )
The card I have above is a birthday card my sister had me make for her friend that loves Owls. I completed this 3/5/13 The owl was made with the Disney Princess Cartridge and it's under the sleeping beauty section. I made the stomach area polka dots because I thought it would be so cute!! The branch and the sentiment was from Create a Critter Cartridge!! I just love the scalloped edge cards as you can tell!! I hope you like the card!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!

Today I'm showing you 5 more Valentine treats that I made for my brother's family. My nephew was home sick on Valentine's so he missed his class party and the valentine's part. So I decided to make some valentine's for my brother's family. I completed these valentines 2/15/13. Most of the treats were made using Create a Critter Cartridge and possibly Create a Critter 2 Cartridge. The Sentiments were made using the Computer printer. I hope you enjoyed the treats. For the card, I used a Sizzix folder to emboss it and then I inked it in black. I used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch for the sides. Dancing Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

It's so great outside here today!! Actually feels like spring!! : ) I planted some banana trees and jumped on the trampoline with my nieces!! I hope it feels good where you are!!
Ok here's a card I completed 1/27/13. So my Great Aunt was turning 87 years old and I was going to her birthday party so, I threw together a card. She loves to dance, so I thought I would make a card with dancing shoes or ballet shoes. I used the Twinkle Toes cartridge and the gypsy wanderings cartridge. I inked the edges in pink and added a little swarvoski crystal to the i. My Aunt thought she was going to a dance and her daughter brought her to the party and she was so surprised she started crying. She wanted to know though if there was still a dance. LOL she really loves to dance. I hope you like the card!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog! :

Texas Longhorn Birthday Card!!

1/10/13

Hey Everyone,

I hope your Monday is going great so far!! I had a pretty good weekend!! Friday night I stayed up for the Cricut Midnight madness sale.  It was a little frustrating because the site was a wee bit slow, but I stuck thru. I ended up getting 3 cartridges that night: Nursery Rhymes, Life's a Party, and Lacy Labels. The next day I ended up ordering the Dreams come True Cartridge because my sister is redoing her bathroom to be an Ocean/Little Mermaid theme and we can use the cartridge for it. Then I went to Joann's just to grab a sheet of paper and seen in there clearance some cricut cartridges and got a few of those. I got Terese Collins Sophistcated and Disney Classics. Then yesterday my sister and I went shopping around. We had fun and came home and sponge painted her bathroom.

So the beginning of January, I went to Hobby Lobby and found a making Memories Slice machine and the memory cards for it, for a real good deal. It was $36.00 for the main machine and $6.36  or so for the memory cards. One of the memory cards was Happy Trails. It had a Texas Longhorn on it and I thought it would be perfect for my brother's birthday that was coming up. So today I'm taking you back to a Texas Longhorn card I completed 1/10/13.
I cut the longhorn out in white and then cut a bigger one out to create a shadow in black. Then I cut out the happy birthday the same way. I inked the edges in orange. The card itself I did black with orange on top and I inked the orange with black. I hope you like the card!! I'm so excited about some projects that I am currently working on, I can't wait to finish them to see how they turn out. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Mermaid Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

How's going today? I hope everyone is doing great!! Ok so last night I told you guys that I completed my 2012 projects, well I missed one. This mermaid card was completed 11/5/12. Ok so my niece wanted a mermaid theme birthday party last year, so I decided to make her a mermaid card.
I hand cut out and made the mermaid and glittered and sparkled her up. My nieces favorite color is purple so I made a lot of the stuff purple. I loved how the card was shell shaped. I found that cool paper behind the mermaid at Joann's and I thought it looked kinda oceanish so, I worked the color scheme around it. I added some seaweed and shells to the bottom too. I hope you like the card!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog. : )

Wedding Congratulations Card!!

Hey Everyone,

Hopefully you all are doing great!! : ) So today I am showing you a wedding card I completed
11/16/12. This was my first wedding card I have ever made. My sister had a friend at her work that was getting married so, she wanted me to make her a card. The wedding was country themed, like cowboy boots and flannel shirts.
I thought that I would cut two sets of boots out. One being the man's which I made blue and one being the woman's which I made pink. I then cut out a pink design to put them on and then I used the cuttlebug swiss dot folder and inked it with a blue. Then cut out pink and brown paisley designs and added blue prima flowers popping out of the boots. Then I cut out Congratulations in blue with a brown shadow. I also added a blue swarvoski crystal to the top of the i. I used the Birthday Cakes Cricut cartridge and one of the Martha Stewart Cartridges for the Congratulations. I will see if I can find the exact one and update the post. I also used the  Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch at the bottom.  I inked the edges of the card, the boots and the paisley in brown. Then I topped with a blue ribbon. I hope you enjoyed the wedding card. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Batman and Robin Tutus!!

t

Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday out there!! : ) So today's project I am showing you is a Batman and Robin tutu I completed 10/28/12. So I started this project last August and didn't finish it till a couple days before Halloween. The easy part was making the tutu's, the hard part was making and adhearing the logo to them. This was my first time making any tutu, but it  won't be my last. : )
So, I asked my Niece what she wanted to be for Halloween and she said she wanted to be a superhero princess. I got on Pinterest and typed that in and some superhero costumes popped up. I decided to go with Batman and Robin because they were sidekicks.
For Robin, I got a red waffle crocheted tutu top and then got green tulle for the skirt part. Then I took some yellow ribbon and tied it around the middle. I also took smaller yellow ribbon and weaved it in and out at the top. For the Robin logo, I cut out a Circle on the cricut and glittered the circle black. Then I cut out an R and glittered it yellow. I tied some green tulle at the top to make the arm sleeves.
For Batman, I got a black waffle crocheted tutu top and I used black and yellow tulle for the skirt. Then I tied yellow ribbon around the middle. I also made a black bat and glittered it and used a hair clip to attach the bat to the yellow ribbon in the middle. Then for the Batman logo I cut yellow fabric in an oval shape and sewed it to the tutu top. (The Very Hard Part because of the stretchy waffle top) Then I cut a black bat and glittered it and glued it to the yellow fabric. For the sleeves I used black tulle at the top. My niece wanted a tiara so I cut out a black crown on the cricut and glittered it black. Then hand cut out a bat and glittered it yellow. I then put some black crystal embellishments on it as well.
My nieces loved them and loved twirling around in them. This year my niece wants me to make her a tangled tutu for Halloween. She also wants to have a tangled Birthday Party!! So look for more tutu's in the future lol. I hope you enjoyed my Halloween tutu's. I have two projects left from last year to show you guys. One is by me and the other my sister made!! Stay tuned!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Buzz Lightyear Birthday Card!!

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are having a pleasant day out there!! : ) Today I want to show you a card I made for my mom's friend. I completed this card 10/10/12. Her friend likes Buzz Lightyear and I had the Toy  Story Cricut cartridge, so I made a Buzz Lightyear card!!
It took a couple hours to make Buzz because I couldn't seem to figure out the colors of what the pieces were supposed to be. The background of the card is just white cardstock that I inked with Blue. Then I used a star paper for the middle and inked the edges. For the front part, I just used a blue cardstock that I ran thru the cuttlebug with a star folder and chalked it white. For the sentiment, I cut out Happy Buzzday!! In the center, I used the Martha Stewart doily lace punch and then tied ribbons. I hope you like the Buzz Card. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!

Hello Kitty Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all are having a great day!! : ) This card was completed 10/7/12. This is a Hello Kitty Birthday card for my brother's fiancee's daughter. She was having a Hello Kitty birthday party that day. I had to hurry and throw a card together before I left for Church that morning. I don't have the Hello Kitty Cartridge, so I had to hand make the little cat. I didn't have time to complete a few touches before I left the house. I was going to glitter the little bow. I loved how the scallopped circle looked though. I glittered the Happy Birthday with pink glitter and added a pink crystal over the i. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!

Happy 1st Birthday Pumpkin!!

Hey Everyone,
I hope you all are having a spectacular Sunday!! I completed this card 10/6/12.  So for my niece Brooklyn's 1st Birthday I made her this birthday card. I was so crazy busy that week that I didn't get the oppourtunity to start her card until the night before, but I got tired and had to quit after a little while. I had to rush and finish it before her birthday party. We were having her birthday at a Pumpkin Patch, so I decided to go with a Pumpkin theme. I made a sketch the other day of exactly what I wanted to create and was quite excited to create it. I always get so excited to see what the finished piece looks like because I never quite know what it will look like until I'm done. I absolutely loved the finished card.
I struggled with the background colors of the card, but finally decided on purple and green. I glittered all the lettering with purple glitter. I made an all black tear kitty popping out of the pumpkin. On the pumpkin I used a swirl sizzix folder and decided to put the 1st on it. I used the Martha Stewart doily lace punch for the center. Lastly, I added a purple polka dotted ribbon to the middle with a green button.
I hope you like the card. Thanks for taking the time to view my creation.

Thanks.

Dad's Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,
I Hope everyone is doing good today!! I completed this card 10/3/12!  So in October I have back to back birthdays!! My dad's birthday was on a Wednesday, my niece Brooklyn's Birthday was three  days after that and my brother's fiancee's daughters birthday was 4 days after that. So by the end of the week, I'm partied out. And this year my brother is getting married in between on those birthdays. LOL
With that being said I've been creating lots of cards the past few days. I didn't really know what to make for my dad, so I decided I would make a nature scene and put some deer in it.
I had some mountains in the background with snow on them. Then I made the sun and tried to ink the sky to make it look like the sun was setting. Then I created a little hunters' cabin beside a little stream. I made the whole scene a snowy scene. Lastly, I put two little deer in the picture. Then I added buttons and chalked the edges of the card in green. I showed the card to my three year old niece and she said it looked like a Christmas card. LOL She said it was Santa's house. Gotta love her!! I hope you like it. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog.

Bret Micheals Birthday Card!

Hey Everyone,
I hope everyone out there is having a fantastic Thursday!! Today I'm going to share my sister's birthday card, I made for her last year. I completed this card 9/16/2012. So for about a month or so before her birthday we had been joking with each other about a Bret Micheals Bear, so I decided to make her a card with him on it.
So I made a tear bear and cut out a little cross on the cricut and blinged it out on his cowboy hat and shirt. My sister loves the color green, so I went with a green theme. At the bottom I made green flames. I blinged out the Happy Birthday in glitter and then chalked the edges with ink. So originally I made the bear without the blonde hair, but I asked my dad what I should do he said to put the blonde hair on the bear. So the first pic is without and the second is with. Personally, I'm not feeling the hair. LOL I hope you enjoyed my card today. I have about 7 projects to show you before I get to the stuff I've made in 2013.  Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! Which bear did you prefer the hair or no hair??

Happy Anniversary Card!

Hey Everyone,

How's it going today?? All is good here!! So today's card is one that I completed 9/5/2012. So last year, I went to several different fairs. I must say I did have lots of fun! I went to a Fair a few towns over to watch my cousin perform. He's trying to make it into the country music industry and I had yet to see him perform because I watch my nieces. A couple of days after the fair, I got to seem him play again down the road from me at a winery!! Then I went to my local State Fair 4 times lol. The first time, I got to go to a Bret Michaels Concert for free. It was totally awesome!! : ) The only concerts I had ever been to was when I was little and that was two Aerosmith Concerts. (Mom is a huge Aerosmith fan) Anyway, the Bret Michaels Concert was really good and he was a awesome performer. The only thing that would have made the concert better, would have been if my sister was there. She wanted to go so bad, but wasn't able to go because she didn't have a babysitter. Bret however said he was coming back, so my sister and I have plans to attend this year together and get some VIP passes.
Then the next time I went to the Fair I went with my mom and cousins we walked the Midway a few times and we were gone by 9:30, but we visited with each other till 2:30 in the morning. LOL I never stay out that late, it was different but I had fun! Then I went with my Sister and Brother in Law. I feel bad because that was their only oppourtunity to go. After being there maybe an hour it started pouring down rain, so we had to leave. My niece though got to ride 3 rides before the rain, so she had some fun. Then I went to the Fair with my dad and it was partially raining. Still had fun though.

Anyway at the first Fair I went to my cousin Justin asked me if I would make him a card for his Anniversary. I've never really did a card by request it's normally something I make for someone else. So I said yeah and ask him what he was wanting and the colors and that stuff. He described that she liked flowers, peace signs, neon colors, and he wanted to incorporate both their favorite colors. (Light green and hot orange) I guess you could say I had Artists block or something because at first I was stuck and didn't know what to do. The colors threw me off and his description of what he wanted. Eventually, though I had an idea. I figured I'd make a beetlebug car and put orange flowers on it. The tires I put little peace sign with flowers in it. In the end it turned out ok or so he said.

Thanks for taking the time to view my blog. : )
