Dancing Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

It's so great outside here today!! Actually feels like spring!! : ) I planted some banana trees and jumped on the trampoline with my nieces!! I hope it feels good where you are!!
Ok here's a card I completed 1/27/13. So my Great Aunt was turning 87 years old and I was going to her birthday party so, I threw together a card. She loves to dance, so I thought I would make a card with dancing shoes or ballet shoes. I used the Twinkle Toes cartridge and the gypsy wanderings cartridge. I inked the edges in pink and added a little swarvoski crystal to the i. My Aunt thought she was going to a dance and her daughter brought her to the party and she was so surprised she started crying. She wanted to know though if there was still a dance. LOL she really loves to dance. I hope you like the card!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog! :

Texas Longhorn Birthday Card!!

1/10/13

Hey Everyone,

I hope your Monday is going great so far!! I had a pretty good weekend!! Friday night I stayed up for the Cricut Midnight madness sale.  It was a little frustrating because the site was a wee bit slow, but I stuck thru. I ended up getting 3 cartridges that night: Nursery Rhymes, Life's a Party, and Lacy Labels. The next day I ended up ordering the Dreams come True Cartridge because my sister is redoing her bathroom to be an Ocean/Little Mermaid theme and we can use the cartridge for it. Then I went to Joann's just to grab a sheet of paper and seen in there clearance some cricut cartridges and got a few of those. I got Terese Collins Sophistcated and Disney Classics. Then yesterday my sister and I went shopping around. We had fun and came home and sponge painted her bathroom.

So the beginning of January, I went to Hobby Lobby and found a making Memories Slice machine and the memory cards for it, for a real good deal. It was $36.00 for the main machine and $6.36  or so for the memory cards. One of the memory cards was Happy Trails. It had a Texas Longhorn on it and I thought it would be perfect for my brother's birthday that was coming up. So today I'm taking you back to a Texas Longhorn card I completed 1/10/13.
I cut the longhorn out in white and then cut a bigger one out to create a shadow in black. Then I cut out the happy birthday the same way. I inked the edges in orange. The card itself I did black with orange on top and I inked the orange with black. I hope you like the card!! I'm so excited about some projects that I am currently working on, I can't wait to finish them to see how they turn out. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Mermaid Birthday Card!!

Hey Everyone,

How's going today? I hope everyone is doing great!! Ok so last night I told you guys that I completed my 2012 projects, well I missed one. This mermaid card was completed 11/5/12. Ok so my niece wanted a mermaid theme birthday party last year, so I decided to make her a mermaid card.
I hand cut out and made the mermaid and glittered and sparkled her up. My nieces favorite color is purple so I made a lot of the stuff purple. I loved how the card was shell shaped. I found that cool paper behind the mermaid at Joann's and I thought it looked kinda oceanish so, I worked the color scheme around it. I added some seaweed and shells to the bottom too. I hope you like the card!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog. : )

Wedding Congratulations Card!!

Hey Everyone,

Hopefully you all are doing great!! : ) So today I am showing you a wedding card I completed
11/16/12. This was my first wedding card I have ever made. My sister had a friend at her work that was getting married so, she wanted me to make her a card. The wedding was country themed, like cowboy boots and flannel shirts.
I thought that I would cut two sets of boots out. One being the man's which I made blue and one being the woman's which I made pink. I then cut out a pink design to put them on and then I used the cuttlebug swiss dot folder and inked it with a blue. Then cut out pink and brown paisley designs and added blue prima flowers popping out of the boots. Then I cut out Congratulations in blue with a brown shadow. I also added a blue swarvoski crystal to the top of the i. I used the Birthday Cakes Cricut cartridge and one of the Martha Stewart Cartridges for the Congratulations. I will see if I can find the exact one and update the post. I also used the  Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch at the bottom.  I inked the edges of the card, the boots and the paisley in brown. Then I topped with a blue ribbon. I hope you enjoyed the wedding card. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Batman and Robin Tutus!!

t

Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday out there!! : ) So today's project I am showing you is a Batman and Robin tutu I completed 10/28/12. So I started this project last August and didn't finish it till a couple days before Halloween. The easy part was making the tutu's, the hard part was making and adhearing the logo to them. This was my first time making any tutu, but it  won't be my last. : )
So, I asked my Niece what she wanted to be for Halloween and she said she wanted to be a superhero princess. I got on Pinterest and typed that in and some superhero costumes popped up. I decided to go with Batman and Robin because they were sidekicks.
For Robin, I got a red waffle crocheted tutu top and then got green tulle for the skirt part. Then I took some yellow ribbon and tied it around the middle. I also took smaller yellow ribbon and weaved it in and out at the top. For the Robin logo, I cut out a Circle on the cricut and glittered the circle black. Then I cut out an R and glittered it yellow. I tied some green tulle at the top to make the arm sleeves.
For Batman, I got a black waffle crocheted tutu top and I used black and yellow tulle for the skirt. Then I tied yellow ribbon around the middle. I also made a black bat and glittered it and used a hair clip to attach the bat to the yellow ribbon in the middle. Then for the Batman logo I cut yellow fabric in an oval shape and sewed it to the tutu top. (The Very Hard Part because of the stretchy waffle top) Then I cut a black bat and glittered it and glued it to the yellow fabric. For the sleeves I used black tulle at the top. My niece wanted a tiara so I cut out a black crown on the cricut and glittered it black. Then hand cut out a bat and glittered it yellow. I then put some black crystal embellishments on it as well.
My nieces loved them and loved twirling around in them. This year my niece wants me to make her a tangled tutu for Halloween. She also wants to have a tangled Birthday Party!! So look for more tutu's in the future lol. I hope you enjoyed my Halloween tutu's. I have two projects left from last year to show you guys. One is by me and the other my sister made!! Stay tuned!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! : )

Buzz Lightyear Birthday Card!!

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all are having a pleasant day out there!! : ) Today I want to show you a card I made for my mom's friend. I completed this card 10/10/12. Her friend likes Buzz Lightyear and I had the Toy  Story Cricut cartridge, so I made a Buzz Lightyear card!!
It took a couple hours to make Buzz because I couldn't seem to figure out the colors of what the pieces were supposed to be. The background of the card is just white cardstock that I inked with Blue. Then I used a star paper for the middle and inked the edges. For the front part, I just used a blue cardstock that I ran thru the cuttlebug with a star folder and chalked it white. For the sentiment, I cut out Happy Buzzday!! In the center, I used the Martha Stewart doily lace punch and then tied ribbons. I hope you like the Buzz Card. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!!
