John Deere Happy Birthday Card!!

Happy Easter Everyone,
I hope you all are having an amazing Easter out there with your Family!! So excited about today!! Easter means a lot to me because of the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for you and me. His shed blood allowed me to be free from my sins! I know sometimes I go thru things and don't understand why I'm going thru them and I'm anguishing because I'm going thru it, but I will never ever know what Jesus went thru to become that sacrifice. When you put it into perspective, what I or other people in the world are going thru, nothing could ever compare to what he went thru willingly that day. Jesus and God loves us so much and on that cross they showed us just how much they love us! I'm so thankful Jesus is in my life!!  I know that he is not dead but that He has Risen and that he is in me and you!!

Here's a project I completed 9/16/2011.  This was my sister's birthday and she loves John Deere,
so I decided to make a John Deere card. Originally, I was making a barn and a small John Deere tractor, but it was just to much to do in such a little amount of time. I had told my 2 year old Niece Hailey and lol she told her mom I was making her a barn. Hailey thought it was her birthday though it was too cute!! She kept telling my sister it was her birthday and that she had a Dora Cake.

I handmade the little John Deere Tractor because I didn't have a cartridge at the time that had a tractor on it. The fonts were on Gypsy Wanderings and Plantin School book. And I used the Martha Stewart doily lace punch. I just loved the inside sentiment. Thanks for taking the time to view my card!! I hope you enjoyed it!! Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! Happy Easter!!

Twinkle toes cartridges for the background.
Plantin Schoolbook for the font
Some Swarvoski Crystal bling for the i's

Thank You Baptism Card!!

Hey Everyone,

Here is a Thank you card for my Pastor Michael, who baptised us. I completed this card 8/27/2011.
I went to Hobby Lobby and found the cute brown paper with words on it. I then coordinated the card around those colors!! I swiss dotted a layer and then inked the edges in brown. I ran the cross thru the cuttlebug using a swirl folder. Then added some bling to the middle. The second image is the inside part of the card and I just used the pieces that were cut out before, then inked the edges.
Recipe:
Indie Art for the cross
Cuttlebug swiss dots
Cuttlebug swirls
Swarvoski crystal bling
brown ribbon

I hope you all enjoy this card!! I loved how it turned out!!  Love you guys and have a blessed night!!

Baptism Card for my Dad!!

Hey Everyone,
Today I'm sharing a card I completed on 8/14/2011. That Sunday my Dad and I both got baptised outside at a lake. : ) You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful night and setting!! I was excited to be able to confess in front of the people that Jesus is first in my life. I also told a bit about my walk with God over the past two years and how he helped me to lose 133 pounds. I know that it couldn't have happened without him by my side helping me each step of the way.

I thought that I needed to make a card for my dad because he was getting baptised too so, that day after church I hurried and put together a card. It turned out very beautiful!! At Church, I also snuck and bought him a shirt so, I could surprise him after he was baptised.

The cross was made using Indie Art and I used the cuttlebug diamond plate folder on it!! (Which made it look really cool) I also used the swiss dot folder for the background.
Then I used Home Accents for the Faith!!
Since it's been about a year and half since we got baptised, I can tell you that my dad keeps that card in his bible and every week I see him pull it out.

I hope you enjoyed the project!! Thanks for viewing my blog and adding me!!

Thank You Card!!

 c

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone out there is doing good today? I'm doing pretty fantastic here!! So today I'm sharing a card I completed 7/23/2011. I made it for one of my dad's bosses. I truly believe she is an angel on Earth. She is always giving and helping people in need. It seems as if when we are in need of something she knows, but yet we didn't tell her. I hope everyone of you has someone like that in your life, or you try to be that someone to others. Giving is such a powerful thing and such a selfless act.
She adores dogs, so I decided I would make a thank you card incorporating dogs.
I used different shades of browns with the cardstock. I also swiss dotted a layer in the cuttlebug. I also cut out little paw prints on every corner. And the dog is a little tear puppy that I handmade. I used my Martha Stewart punch. I used ribbons with little doggy bones on it. On the dog I made a collar and put a little swarvoski crystal dangling to make it look like a dog tag!! When we gave it to her she loved it and said she was going to frame it and put it on her wall. It felt great to make her a card because she's always giving. I know the card is nothing compared to what she has did, but it was my way of showing her that we appreciate everything she has did. Thanks for taking the time to view my blog!! I hope you enjoyed the card!!

Pirate Birthday Card!

Hello Bloggers,

So I've been going back and showing projects I've completed in 2011. This one was completed 7/13/2011. I made this Pirate Card for my 7 year old Nephew's Birthday!! He is just too cute and I love him so much. My sister and I got him a Pirates of the Caribbean game for his birthday, so I decided to go with a pirate theme card.
I think it turned out so super cute. He's a tear bear. LoL I loved the little peg leg. It ended up being a really tall card, but I had to do it to fit the pirate on there. Then I dotted the I in Gavin with a skull I thought it was a cute pirate touch. I chalked most of the stuff to give it that dirty pirate look.

Recipe:
Happy Birthday is the Gypsy wanderings cart
Gavin is the Platin Schoolbook font
The skull is from Indie Art Cartridge
Pirate is handmade and chalked by me

I hope you all enjoyed the project. And thanks for looking!!

Getting out of Your Comfort Zone!!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Hello Bloggers,

I hope everyone is having a great day today!! Over the past few days, I have been getting out of my comfort zone in several different things. God directed my path and wanted me to get out of my comfort zone. Let me tell you it was hard. Several things I was afraid to do and yet he said to lean on him and trust him, so I decided ok I'll try. Several times I was seriously scared and yet I took that leap of faith and jumped. I have to say that I am so relieved, now that I did. It also didn't seem as bad once I jumped. Sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone in order to receive the things that God wants you to have. He pushes you because he knows that you can do it. Let me tell you don't ever let fear come into your life because that just limits God and the things that he can do in your life. I was tempted many times this week to let fear come in and speak it out loud. But I held in that fear and I fought it as hard as I could. I feel as if I passed several tests this week and though I don't see immediate results, I know and can be confident that the victory is on it's way right now.
So I'm asking if you are going through difficult times right now and your struggling with something turn it over to God. He can do amazing things with that situation, you just have to hand it to him and have faith that he will do something with it. And though you maybe completely scared about it, don't voice that fear outloud. You just need to find some faith scriptures and speak those aloud. And watch God do amazing things in your life. So get out of your comfort zone and into the Faith zone!!
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog!
